Maria's Jersey Giants, since 1976
Breeding from the best nicely laced Blue Jersey Giants for 32 years!!
We strive for "Quality" over "Quantity"
We have been able to produce many Blue Jersey giants with the new combination of breeding our splash ladies to our nicest black cocks going directly back to Golda Miller's lines. We had an opportunity to ship 2 nice Cockerals in spring 2008. We sell started birds, adults, baby chicks, & hatching eggs. (Possible colors include black , blues, and splashes.)
Egg orders will go out by mid March 2010. All blue producing eggs will be available at additional cost in May 2010.

We have 6 dz. of Jersey giant eggs prebooked- Folks are calling early this year!!!

For further questions please feel free to call at (812) 752-7825 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.  Please keep in mind that while it might be 10 p.m. in CA , it is most likely 1:00 a.m. here in Indiana and everyone is asleep:):).
We are on Eastern Daylight Time. Check out Scottsburg, Indiana and other area codes to see if you are on the same time zone

Beautiful nicely laced blue hen was featured in the August/September
2007 Backyard  Poultry Magazine  on  pages 62 &  63. The above blue Jersey giant hen is one of our actual breeders.
We specialize in Jersey Giants and breed no other large fowl.
WE BREED FROM ONLY THE BEST JERSEY GIANTS THAT REPRESENT THE BREED STANDARD. Many of our Birds have been awarded prizes in County and State Fairs. Our Jersey Giants lay a medium dark to dark brown egg and some become broody making excellent mothers. Hens weigh up to 12 lbs. and we have had one eports enormous report of a purchased blue Jersey giant rooster weighing 23 pounds at two years of age. I have not seen this bird in person. I am estimating that most roosters weigh closer to 15 plus pounds. The Jersey giant is a slower maturing bird and grows up to three years of age. Some of our giants do become broody and make good mothers. In general the Jerseys are very calm in nature & mix well with other breeds of chickens. The kids pictured above are enjoying petting the dog & feeding our Jersey Giant flock!!
